Face-to-face teaching prevails in winter semester 21/22
Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg will return to offer mainly face-to-face teaching in the winter semester 2021/22. In doing so, it is implementing the requirements of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, which aim to open up universities.
Of course, even with attendance increasing, the health of all members of the university is of paramount importance. The 3G principle applies to access to the buildings. Anyone visiting university buildings must be immunised - i.e. vaccinated or recovered - or have a negative Corona test. A certified Corona test with a negative test result is required.
Compliance with the 3G rule is checked in various ways.
In line with the state's requirements, as many face-to-face courses as possible will be held. The extent to which face-to-face teaching is offered depends on the individual departments. In this respect, online teaching will not disappear completely in the winter semester. Details will be regulated by the departments.

Universal protective measures
Anyone visiting the buildings of Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg must adhere to the 3G rule: Anyone who is there must be vaccinated, recovered or tested. This will be checked. In principle, general protective measures continue to apply (adherence to common hygiene rules, maintaining a minimum distance of 1.5 metres outside 3G areas, wearing a mask if the minimum distance is not maintained). If typical symptoms of an infection with the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus or an acute infection are present, contact with other persons should be avoided at all costs. In these cases, a Corona test should be carried out as soon as possible.
On Information and measures for employees you will find further information on preventive measures taken by the university management. In addition, a notice of the Presidium provides information on hygiene rules.
